Airservices staff showcase our work at careers expo

Airservices staff explained the benefits and rewards of being an air traffic controller at a recent careers expo in Brisbane.

Visitors to the expo, who included high school students and their parents, were able to speak with controllers about the training, testing and commitment involved.

Changes in technology, tools that support controllers and pilots and the opportunity to get paid whilst learning were also hot topics of discussion.

Air traffic controllers manage the safe flow of aircraft to and from their destination across Australia and overseas.

They are based around the country at our 28 control towers and at our two major centres in Melbourne and Brisbane.
